Job summary

The Corporate Institute in India is seeking a Specialist, Financial Operations to own complex royalty operations for Global Rights & Royalties across regions. You will manage statements, advances and payments, reconcile data and respond to author inquiries with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

You will translate operational data into insights, strengthen controls, support audits and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with Finance, Tax and royalty management

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in financial operations, royalty operations, publishing or high-volume transaction environments.
• Experience working with financial data, reconciliations, payment processes and internal controls.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills with internal/external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work with limited supervision.
• Experience in publishing, rights or royalties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review royalty statements and payments per contracts and procedures.
• Process advances, scheduled and off-cycle payments, and manual payments.
• Maintain workflows, supporting evidence and approval records for statements and payments.
• Analyse large financial royalty data sets; identify discrepancies and root causes.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to cross-functional teams (Portfolio, Editorial, Finance).
• Support audits, control testing, and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to automation, system changes and process redesign.
