Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking a Project Accountant to manage financial performance for assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition. You will support project managers to achieve financial objectives and ensure accurate cost reporting.

The role requires 3–5 years of project-based accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting principles. Collaboration with managers and adherence to standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Accounting Technology, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs are allocated correctly.
• Review and analyze project financial performance against approved budgets.
• Prepare client invoices and monitor project billings.
• Assist in revenue recognition and project accounting compliance.
• Reconcile project-related transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with project managers regarding project costs, budget utilization, and profitability.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and management reports related to project performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and contractual requirements.
• Assist in audits and provide supporting financial documentation as required.
