Job summary

Southworth International Group, Inc. (SIGI) Manila-based Buyer Team Lead oversees daily procurement operations, mentors buyers, and coordinates global supplier activities to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.

The role emphasizes process improvements, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance with trade requirements. The position requires strong leadership, international supplier experience, and a track record in strategic sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience with international supplier exposure.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
• APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification preferred or willingness to pursue.
• Ability to influence, lead projects, and drive results without direct authority.
• Experience with complex supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Experience using procurement metrics and data analysis for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and development to procurement team members.
• Lead international supplier selection, sourcing, and negotiations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders for international procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive cost savings, quality, and delivery improvements.
• Mentor team, lead training initiatives, and support digital transformation in supply chain.
