Job summary

Freelancer.com is seeking a strategic payments leader to shape and scale our global payments ecosystem from Manila. You will drive our payment strategy and ensure secure, scalable operations across international markets.

You will build and lead a high-performing payments organization across three international offices, standardize KPIs, and govern activities spanning finance, compliance, and product. This role requires 7+ years in payments, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with AP/AR,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payments, fintech, banking, or regulated financial services.
• Minimum 1 year of Accounting exposure.
• Experience building and managing full cycle AP/AR workflows with multi-party settlement.
• Experience managing payments operations teams.
• Experience handling Client Money or regulated fund-holding environments.
• Ability to manage risk profiles of high-ticket transactions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a unified global payments vision aligned with growth.
• Lead payments org across three international offices and standardize KPIs.
• Own end-to-end payment lifecycle: funding, disbursement, settlement, reconciliation.
• Manage relationships with acquiring banks, payout providers, card networks, and PSPs.
• Ensure regulatory alignment, audits, and partner reporting.
• Drive product enablement for scalable payment infra and cross-border expansion.
