Job summary

Workstream is hiring a Team Lead for Global Data Operations to oversee a squad of Video Data Contributors, guide onboarding, and ensure accurate payroll processing.

You will collaborate with Recruiting, Finance, and People Ops while focusing on hitting production targets, quality standards, and efficient workflows to support our growing data operations team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Team Lead, Operations Supervisor, or Senior Coordinator role in BPO, Field Operations, Marketplace Ops, or Data Annotation environments.
• Strong coordination with Recruiting, Finance, People Ops and frontline targets.
• Proficient with Google Sheets/Excel and capable of troubleshooting hardware/upload systems.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a squad of 30–50 Video Data Contributors to hit weekly output milestones.
• Conduct regular quality checks on uploaded footage to enforce technical standards and compliance.
• Analyze unusable footage to identify errors and run retraining sessions.
• Refine onboarding guides, recording protocols, and daily tracking sheets to reduce turnover.
• Screen applications and support onboarding with Recruiting and People Ops.
• Coordinate onboarding and document completion, NDA signing, and equipment setup.
• Track squad capacity and conversion rates to prevent shortages.
• Audit weekly activity logs against verified uploads to ensure correct payments.
• Prepare Ready-to-Pay reports for Finance/Payroll and resolve payout discrepancies.

Workstream is looking for a Team Lead for Global Data Operations. In this role,you are the critical link between the front-line contributors and our business operations. You will manage the entire lifecycle of a Video Data Contributor: identifying high-potential candidates, guiding them through onboarding, managing their daily output, and ensuring their hours are verified for payment.

Day In The Life

Daily Operations & Squad Management

• Output & Target Execution: Directly manage a squad of 30–50 distributed Video Data Contributors to ensure they consistently hit target weekly output milestones (e.g., 20 hours/week).
• Quality Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular quality checks on uploaded footage to enforce strict technical standards (e.g., 1080p/30FPS, ultra-wide framing, proper camera angles, lighting) and compliance protocols.
• Defect Reduction & Retraining: Analyze "unusable footage" data to identify recurring operational errors, using these insights to run targeted retraining and host weekly technical "Office Hours."
• Process Optimization: Refine contributor onboarding guides, recording protocols, and daily tracking sheets to streamline field operations and reduce turnover.

Recruitment Support & Onboarding Coordination

• Application Screening Support: Assist the Recruiting team by screening incoming applications against specific operational criteria (e.g., camera/smartphone hardware specs, workplace access, schedule availability).
• Onboarding Execution: Coordinate with People Ops to guide qualified candidates through document completion, NDA signing, and equipment setup, resolving bottlenecks to get contributors ready quickly.
• Pipeline Status Tracking: Track squad capacity and candidate conversion rates, flagging upcoming contributor shortages to the Recruiting team to trigger hiring drives before production targets are missed.

Financial Reconciliation & Payroll Coordination

• Hours & Data Reconciliation: Audit weekly contributor activity logs against verified, usable video uploads to ensure the company only pays for approved footage.
• Finance Reporting: Consolidate squad data into accurate "Ready-to-Pay" reports and submit them to the Finance/Payroll team on scheduled payout cycles.
• Payout Support & Dispute Resolution: Act as the primary administrative contact for contributor payment inquiries, investigating and resolving discrepancies between submitted logs and final payouts.

Who You Are

• Operations Management: 3+ years in a Team Lead, Operations Supervisor, or Senior Coordinator role within BPO, Field Operations, Marketplace Ops, or Data Annotation environments.
• Coordination Skills: Comfortable liaising with cross-functional partners (Recruiting, Finance, People Ops) while keeping your primary focus on frontline operational targets.
• Technical & Analytical Savvy: Proficient with Google Sheets/Excel (data tracking, formulas) and comfortable troubleshooting smartphone/wearable camera hardware and upload systems.
• Detail-Oriented: Meticulous with records—able to perform error-free timesheet reconciliations and initial candidate requirement checks.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English; able to keep a distributed squad engaged, accountable, and aligned with operational goals.
