Job description

At Aurecon we see the future through a very different lens. Do you?

Innovation, eminence and digital are at the heart of everything we do. Are you excited about the future?

Are you driven by the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complex projects around the world and to learn from the best? We are.

Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust and inclusiveness. Our differences are what fuel our creativity.

What will you do?

The Global Mobility & Benefits Specialist supports the delivery of Global Mobility and Benefits services across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The role combines end-to-end mobility case management with operational benefits administration, helping provide a consistent employee experience, accurate people data and timely service delivery.

As a Global Mobility & Benefits Specialist, the role independently manages defined cases and activities within established policies and processes, applies sound judgement, coordinates internal and external stakeholders, identifies service improvements and escalates exceptions or complex matters to the advisor or team leader.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

Global Mobility

  • Manage assigned mobility cases from initiation to completion, acting as the key operational contact for employees, candidates and relevant stakeholders.

  • Provide first-line guidance on Global Mobility frameworks, policies and processes, escalating policy exceptions and complex matters appropriately.

  • Prepare mobility cost estimates and package information, coordinate required approvals, and monitor actual costs against estimates.

  • Coordinate immigration, relocation and taxation services through external providers, monitoring service delivery and resolving operational issues.

  • Coordinate mobility documentation, employment inputs, start dates and employee-change notifications with relevant internal teams.

  • Maintain accurate case records, approvals and supporting documentation, and manage relevant mobility mailbox activity.

  • Validate mobility vendor invoices and support visa, work-right and related compliance activities.

Benefits Administration

  • Support the administration of local and regional employee benefits programs and platforms across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

  • Respond to employee and stakeholder benefits queries, providing operational guidance and escalating complex or policy-related matters as required.

  • Maintain accurate and current benefits data in Workday and other approved systems.

  • Coordinate with regional People teams and external providers in administering health insurance and other local benefit arrangements.

  • Prepare benefits usage reports and operational insights, identifying trends, data issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain benefits information and collateral, including intranet and vendor content.

  • Support benefits surveys, recognition-program administration, approved benefits initiatives and employee communications.

Shared Responsibilities

  • Build effective relationships with employees, leaders, People teams, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Technology teams and external providers.

  • Maintain confidentiality, data accuracy and appropriate information handling across all activities.

  • Identify practical improvements to processes, documentation, reporting and technology.

  • Work flexibly across Mobility and Benefits priorities to support service delivery and business continuity.

  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned to support evolving business requirements.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. And as part of a new team, you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world. You will also need the following:

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant HR, Global Mobility, Remuneration, Benefits, or shared-services experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of global mobility practices, including immigration, relocation, tax coordination and employee case management.

  • Knowledge of benefits administration, or demonstrated ability to build capability in this area.

  • Experience working across multiple countries, ideally including Australia, New Zealand or Asia.

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications; Workday experience is preferred.

  • Experience in a global or matrixed shared-services environment is desirable.
