Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited in Manila is seeking a Valuation Control professional to ensure accurate recording of traded products and robust P&L reporting. You will support Manila PC and collaborate with the Near Shore Team, providing accounting, control and analytical support to the Markets business.

The role emphasizes balance sheet substantiation, inter-system reconciliations and data governance across multiple financial data platforms.

Qualifications

• Background in financial, economic, accounting or mathematical subjects.
• Experience in Product Control.
• Solid accounting and valuation knowledge.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced Excel skills with VBA/Access or RPA exposure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and proactive attitude.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA or FRM are advantageous.
• Willingness to work at HSBC premises.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial accounting, control and analytical support to the Markets business.
• Produce and analyze daily P&L, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Perform inter-system reconciliations and data integrity checks.
• Manage book opening, data governance and access controls for financial data platforms.
• Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation with supporting docs.
• Review valuation controls and market data quality across systems.
• Prepare monthly/periodic returns for regional and group reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and respond to exceptions.
• Contribute to strategic change initiatives and process improvements.
• Engage with onshore and APAC teams and other internal clients.
