Emapta Philippines is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to strengthen operational controls, improve workflows, and translate business requirements into effective solutions. This role offers permanent work-from-home with international exposure and a focus on energy markets.

You will collaborate across borders, analyze processes, document requirements, and support testing and implementation efforts. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in business or operations analysis, advanced Excel skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Process Analyst, or in a similar role
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, advanced functions, Power Query, advanced data analytics, PivotTable creation, and VBA
Strong business analysis and data analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical documentation and business writing skills
Strong analytical, logical-thinking, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Aptitude for quickly understanding new business processes and systems
Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and within a team

Responsibilities

Perform and support bill audits to ensure billing accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Maintain and validate market data to ensure quality, consistency, and timely updates.
Prepare and submit compliance reports in accordance with business and regulatory requirements.
Manage and monitor service tickets to ensure timely investigation, resolution, escalation, and communication of issues.
Analyze operational data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and areas requiring corrective action.
Support recurring operational activities and ensure adherence to established procedures and controls.
Analyze business processes, workflows, and operational activities to identify risks and inefficiencies.
Gather, document, and clarify business requirements with stakeholders.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
Develop a strong understanding of business processes and systems to support operational and project initiatives.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, workflows, business requirements, functional specifications, user guides, work instructions, testing documentation, and deployment support materials.
Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, current, and easily understood by business and technical audiences.
Support knowledge sharing and maintain documentation standards across operational processes.
Assist with project activities, including solution reviews, testing, and implementation support.
Participate in UAT, track defects, and validate system enhancements.
Collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
Develop the technical understanding needed to communicate business requirements and support technology initiatives.
Identify improvement opportunities, control gaps, and automation opportunities.
Recommend and support the implementation of process enhancements and operational best practices that align with business objectives.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, scalability, standardization, and service quality.
Promote operational excellence and proactive problem-solving.
