Job summary

Egis Asia Philippines is seeking experienced Technical Officers/Designers to join our Transmission & Distribution Design team, addressing projects across the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. You will design distribution and transmission networks, prepare detailed drawings, and collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include sizing lines, substations, and cost estimation, while ensuring compliance with standards and client specs.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of design and/or drafting experience
• Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, NEARA, PLS CADD, CATIA or similar design software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, willing to work on international projects
• Ability to work closely with other engineers and designers
• Basic understanding of distribution systems
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&ID, SLD
• Working knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering principles
• Strong desire to learn and grow within the organization

Responsibilities

• Design of distribution & transmission overhead and underground lines / cable networks
• Design of distribution substations
• Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation
• Project scoping and cost estimating
• Complete tasks in our offices, on-site, and at client locations
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality projects
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and client specifications
• Participate in technical meetings and provide design input as required
