Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a senior Database and Middleware Engineering leader to drive the next generation of database platforms across the global estate. You will partner with AI, analytics, and operations teams to evolve legacy systems toward cloud-native, open-source, and AI-powered solutions.

The role requires deep technical credibility, visionary leadership, and the ability to translate business goals into multi-year roadmaps and investments.

Qualifications

• 18+ years in information technology with 15+ years middleware experience in large orgs, preferably banking.
• Strong knowledge administering Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres and modern databases.
• Experience in IT security compliance and ssl/server certs.
• Proficient in Python, Ansible, SQL, Shell/Perl scripting.
• Experience with Unix system administration and networking/storage basics.
• Hands-on with at least one public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven leadership, initiative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own a multi-year strategic roadmap for database platforms.
• Drive cloud-native adoption and AI/ML readiness for DB platforms.
• Build end-to-end observability using Grafana or Datadog.
• Enforce security and patching; lead vulnerability management.
• Automate tasks using Python, Ansible, or PowerShell; enable self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI, analytics, and operations teams to drive modernization.
