Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland seeks a senior FAAS and Finance Leader in Manila to oversee global controllership functions, close processes, statutory reporting, and internal controls across jurisdictions. You will partner with client CFOs to drive improvements and lead a scalable, high-performance team.

You will drive automation, ERP system optimization (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Netsuite) and digital auditing tools, ensuring compliant and efficient financial operations for multinational clients.

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in multinational finance leadership roles
• Strong IFRS knowledge, familiarity with other GAAPs a plus
• Proven experience managing international financial reporting, audits and compliance across regions
• Experience leading large-scale finance transformation and system implementations
• Experience building and scaling delivery teams, shared service centres and GBS centres
• ERP systems proficiency: SAP, Oracle, Workday, Netsuite
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, commercial acumen
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Lead global controllership functions including financial close and statutory reporting across jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic financial insights and partner with client CFOs and Controllers to drive process improvements.
• Act as senior advisor to multinational clients ensuring alignment with global finance strategies.
• Influence and scale the FAAS team and capability development.
• Oversee preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements under IFRS and GAAPs.
• Ensure robust compliance with local and international accounting regulations and tax requirements.
• Lead technical accounting assessments and guidance on complex transactions.
