Job summary

Maersk in Manila, Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our regional finance team. You will handle day-to-day accounting transactions, prepare financial statements, perform ledger reconciliations and support the month-end close under strict deadlines.

Ideal candidates have BS Accountancy or CPA, 5+ years’ multinational experience, strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to work night shifts and deliver high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy or CPA.
• 5+ years in accounting roles, preferably in multinational companies; external audit, tax and general accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS guidelines.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• SAP or MSD knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and analysis for management and external reporting.
• Deliver timely book-close activities in line with deadlines and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with global and local financial controls.
• Support tax and audit requirements and participate in process improvements.
• Act as back-up for team members and handle ad hoc tasks as needed.
