Job summary

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a Glass Forming Production Engineer based in Mandaue, Cebu. The role involves turning turnover information into corrective actions, coordinating with GF technicians, and ensuring quality standards across mold, mold equipment, and associated systems.

Qualifications

• Must have undergone basic technician course.
• Must have taken Basic Glass Technology course.
• Must have undergone On the–Job–Training at Glass Forming Services.

Responsibilities

• Acquires information on defects, corrective actions, and machine performance from the previous shift.
• Relieves outgoing GF Technician and reports to assigned shop.
• Inspects samples and discusses action plans with GF Engineer to correct defects.
• Weights samples and adjusts feeder parameters to achieve desired weight and records MOR data.
• Replaces defective mold and finish equipment; supports repairs.
• Assists GF Engineer and GF Technician in major repairs and troubleshooting.
• Assists in determining bottle defects and troubleshooting with GF Engineer.
• Performs swabbing of cavities and components per established procedures.
• Inspects molds and finish equipment before installation and records in MOR.
• Documents mold changes, equipment changes, and machine issues in MOR.
• Checks lubrication systems for feeder equipment, gob distributor, IS machine, ware handling, and annealing lehr.
• Conducts ocular inspections for misalignment and makes necessary adjustments.
• Ensures proper spacing of bottles at conveyor and hot end; inspects spares on delivery.
• Performs tasks assigned by supervisor and participates in Safety and EH program.
• Engages in QC/WISE and other productivity programs.
• Performs other tasks as required.
