Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the Philippines seeks a Field Service Engineer for Gas Insulated Switchgear to manage installation, commissioning and on-site service activities as per contract schedules.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to ensure materials, equipment and manpower are available, supervise installation teams, enforce safety rules and report progress to project managers.

Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning: Complete installation and commissioning per contract requirements and schedule.
On Site Service: Ensure material, equipment and manpower availability at site by coordinating with stakeholders.
Manage site activities per schedule and inform project managers for additional resources or materials.
GIS-Supervisor conducts installation work in correct technical order.
Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
Instruct, supervise, and control installation personnel reporting to them at site.
Ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety instructions.
Ensure accident prevention measures and adhere to guidelines for live system work.
Meet detailed installation planning deadlines and identify bottlenecks early.
Testing: Perform testing for installed & commissioned products and provide input for modifications.
Quality Control: Verify application of QC plan and ensure safety equipment usage by subcontractors.
Documentation: Coordinate with the customer on required documentation and safety coordination.
Information: Inform stakeholders on progress and provide input to quality team for non-conformances.
