Job summary

Rauch & Associates seeks a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead ground improvement design for a US firm. You will prepare calculations, models, and submittals, guiding junior engineers while collaborating with a US-licensed principal engineer.

The role focuses on hands-on geotechnical design with experience in stone columns, aggregate piers, rigid inclusions, vibro systems, or helical piles. Remote work from the Philippines is supported.

Qualifications

• A civil engineering degree with a geotechnical specialization; a master's in geotechnical engineering is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrable, recent hands-on experience producing geotechnical design calculations.
• Direct ground improvement design experience (stone columns, aggregate piers, rigid inclusions, vibro systems, or helical piles).
• Working proficiency in MathCAD and PLAXIS, and settlement/stability analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce settlement, bearing, and stability calculations for ground improvement systems.
• Build and run numerical models (PLAXIS or equivalent) for design and verification.
• Prepare preliminary and bid-stage designs and engineering submittals.
• Work directly with a US-licensed principal engineer who holds design authority and all sealing responsibility.
