Job summary

GHD is seeking a Geostructural Engineer to deliver technical solutions on geostructural projects, including design packages, calculations, drawings, and reports. The role requires handling site surveys, client coordination, and working across multiple offices to meet project briefs.

The position allows a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days a week, based in Makati or Quezon City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering.
• Understanding of geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
• Experience with shallow and deep foundations, earth retention systems, ground improvement methods, excavations, and underground structures.
• Proficiency in soil-structure interaction modeling and slope stability analysis.
• Preferred experience with PLAXIS 2D/3D, Slide2/3, LPile, CLiq, and Settle3.

We are looking for skilled and experienced Geostructural Engineer to provide technical expertise on projects and contribute to geostructural assessments, calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and reporting.

Role Purpose: Deliver technical solutions for geostructural projects, design engineering systems, manage project delivery, and ensure client needs are met through GHD’s standard practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise on geostructural projects.
• Develop design packages including models, calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Perform site surveys and inspections and prepare site condition inspection reports.
• Prepare project proposals and detailed sketches.
• Plan and coordinate project outcomes with inputs from various offices and suppliers.
• Manage projects in accordance with client briefs and invite client feedback.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a civil engineering discipline.
• Understanding of geotechnical and structural engineering principles.

This job offer can be based either in Makati or Quezon City office, depending on your home base / location.
