Energy Development Corporation (EDC) in the Philippines is seeking a geophysicist to plan and conduct geophysical surveys, acquire high-quality data, and interpret results to evaluate greenfield geothermal prospects and monitor production fields.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, travel to remote locations, and contribute to safety and environmental stewardship while advancing innovative data acquisition and modeling techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Geology, Applied Physics, or Physics.
• Experience in geophysical survey design, data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
• Experience with geophysical software packages (gravity and magnetic modeling, resistivity surveys, seismic interpretation).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to remote locations; adapt to unfamiliar environments; commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsabilités

• Plans and conducts geophysical surveys to evaluate greenfield geothermal prospects and monitor production fields.
• Responsible for acquiring quality geophysical data and its analysis in accordance with procedures.
• Delineates the probable resource area and recommends best drilling targets based on models from data.
• Recommends strategies to properly manage the production field based on survey results.
• Characterizes properties of the geothermal system and suggests reservoir management strategies.
• Pursue innovation and continuous improvement in data acquisition and modeling techniques.
• Assist geophysical technicians with inventory, handling, storage and maintenance of field geophysics equipment.
• Update and maintenance of the geophysical database.
