Job summary

Hastings Motor Corporation is seeking a qualified technician to inspect, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain generator sets in our workshop and on-site service teams in Cavite. The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background and at least 2 years of genset experience.

You will work with cross-functional teams, ensure safety and quality standards, submit timely reports, and maintain organized work areas while delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • With at least 2 years of relevant experience in inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of gensets.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Knowledgeable in generator set systems, maintenance procedures, and equipment safety standards.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using basic computer applications.
  • Possess a valid and clean driver’s license.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and perform well in both field and workshop environments.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious, with a strong commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily workshop and/or field service activities efficiently as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure the timely submission of all necessary documentation, reports, and other requirements related to assigned and completed tasks.
  • Conduct all servicing assignments in accordance with factory standards and quality requirements.
  • Communicate problems and issues to the Senior Technician or Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other department staff, customers, and relevant individuals as necessary to ensure that company and customer requirements are met.
  • Observe and maintain all health and safety, quality, and other company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the assigned work area, including proper layout, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure the proper condition and security of company assets and customers’ property.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
