Position Overview:

The General Manager (GM) will oversee and lead all offshore departments and resources of Switch Supply. This role is responsible for managing, motivating, and supporting cross-functional offshore teams (including Sourcing, Procurement, QA, R&D, Warehouse/Logistics, Sales Support, and Administrative functions).

The GM will ensure offshore operations align with Switch Supply’s business goals, drive high performance through clear KPI measurement, resolve issues quickly, and manage escalations effectively. They will serve as the bridge between the CEO/leadership team in Australia and offshore departments, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, manage, and motivate offshore teams across multiple departments.
  • Establish performance expectations and hold team leads accountable for delivery.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities for offshore staff.
Performance Management
  • Develop and monitor performance dashboards and KPI scorecards across departments.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with offshore managers/team leads.
  • Identify underperformance, troubleshoot root causes, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure offshore operations meet service levels, quality standards, and company goals.
Operational Oversight
  • Oversee day-to-day activities across offshore departments, ensuring alignment with Switch Supply’s strategic objectives.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot operational challenges, providing quick solutions to minimize business disruption.
  • Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the key link between Australian leadership and offshore departments.
  • Support the CEO in strategic initiatives and ensure smooth execution at the operational level.
  • Drive alignment between offshore teams and onshore stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure timely communication of updates, risks, and performance to leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Leverage technology and tools (ERP, dashboards, automation) to streamline operations.
  • Support business scalability by building resilient offshore structures and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience, ideally within offshore or global teams.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with proven ability to motivate diverse teams.
  • Experience in performance management, KPI dashboards, and operational oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations and resolve issues quickly.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
  • Familiarity with supply chain, procurement, and sourcing processes is an advantage.
  • Experience working with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) preferred.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Team Engagement & Retention: Measure motivation, satisfaction, and retention of offshore teams.
  • Departmental KPI Achievement: Ensure offshore departments achieve their respective KPIs.
  • Escalation Resolution: Track speed and effectiveness in resolving escalations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor efficiency improvements across offshore processes.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Assess offshore team support for Australian leadership and stakeholders.
