Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, law, or related field.
• Philippine national with strong knowledge of the market.
• Active regulatory network across SEC, BSP, CIC, and law enforcement (NBI/Cybercrime; PNP-ACG).
• 8–15 years of progressive fintech/financial services/banking experience.
• Experience in leadership, business development, government relations, partnerships, or strategic management.
• Strong understanding of Philippine fintech ecosystem.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and partners.
• English proficiency; Mandarin preferred for regional/global communication.

Job Role

The General Manager – Philippines will be responsible for leading the company's overall business development and operations in the Philippines.

Working closely with the Board of Directors and regional/global leadership, the Business Director will act as the company's key representative in the local market and drive business growth, strategic partnerships, stakeholder relationships, and market expansion.

The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial leadership with a solid understanding of the Philippine fintech and financial services landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth in the Philippines.
• Lead overall business development, market expansion, and commercial initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, financial institutions, business partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the company in key industry events, business meetings, government discussions, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor developments in the Philippine fintech, digital finance, and financial services industry.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential market expansion initiatives.
• Work closely with regional and global management to execute the company's strategic objectives.
• Oversee local business operations and ensure effective organizational performance.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance activities together with relevant internal teams.
• Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to the Board and global leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
• Filipino national with strong knowledge of the Philippine market.
• Verifiable Regulatory Network: Active, deep, and verifiable professional network across key Philippine regulatory bodies, specifically the SEC, BSP, CIC, and law enforcement divisions (NBI Cybercrime Division / PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group)
• Minimum 8–15 years of progressive experience in fintech, financial services, banking, digital payments, technology, or related industries.
• Experience in business leadership, business development, government relations, corporate affairs, partnerships, or strategic management.
  
• Strong understanding of the Philippine fintech and digital financial services ecosystem.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, business partners, government authorities, and industry leaders.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred for communication with regional and global headquarters.
