Job description

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:

• Oversee daily retail operations, including opening/closing procedures.

• Ensure the shop is clean and well-organized

• Manage deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.

• Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

  1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, train, support, and supervise the team

• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Create and manage staff schedules, performance reviews, and hiring needs

  1. Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints, and handle special requests.

• Cultivate relationships with repeat clients and corporate accounts.

• Ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction are met.

  1. Inventory & Supplier Management:

• Monitor and manage inventory of supplies.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.

• Minimize waste and ensure proper flower care and storage.

  1. Sales & Marketing:

• Develop and implement strategies to boost in-store and online sales.

• Manage social media accounts and online promotions.

• Coordinate seasonal promotions and special events (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day).

• Collaborate on visual merchandising to ensure the shop is always inviting and on-brand

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in retail management, preferably in a floral or boutique setting or hotel industry.

• Strong leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities (especially VIP clients).

• Knowledge of floral design is a plus but not mandatory.

• Proficient in inventory and point-of-sale systems.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak floral seasons

**Preferred Skills but not required:

• Basic floral industry knowledge

• Visual merchandising skills

• Social media management experience
