First Circle is seeking a General Counsel to lead legal, compliance, and risk functions across the organization. The role encompasses general legal advisory, compliance, anti-money laundering, data protection, and more.

The successful candidate will possess 8+ years of legal experience, ideally in a startup or fintech environment, and will be responsible for supervising a team while coordinating legal operations efficiently.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a startup or fintech environment.
• Strong background in compliance matters, including AML and data privacy frameworks.
• Experience managing or leading a legal team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support for all operational and strategic matters of First Circle.
• Oversee compliance for First Circle and corporate group matters.
• Supervise the AML function and act as AMLO.
• Act as Data Protection Officer and handle data privacy matters.
• Build and lead the legal team including direct supervision of the Legal Counsel.
