Job summary

Barbizon Everyday Group of Companies is seeking a General Accounting Associate in Parañaque City. You will process and monitor general accounting transactions, manage petty cash and employee advances, and contribute to month-end closing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and accounting processes.
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines.
• Organized, responsible, and willing to learn and take ownership of assigned processes.
• Team player with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Upholds high standards of professional conduct.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with less than one year of relevant accounting experience are welcome to apply.
• Willing to work in Parañaque City, near Bicutan / Sucat.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor assigned General Accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely recording.
• Manage employee advances and liquidations, including monitoring outstanding balances and supporting documents.
• Manage petty cash transactions, including processing, replenishment, and reconciliation.
• Oversee assigned accounting schedules and balances, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, supported, and reflected in the appropriate accounting period.
• Contribute to the month-end financial close by performing reconciliations, reviewing account movements, and completing assigned closing schedules.
• Generate financial information and supporting analysis to assist in management reporting, account review, and decision-making.
• Maintain complete and organized accounting records in accordance with established procedures and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve assigned processes, monitoring, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with directions set out by the Head of the team.
• Perform other related General Accounting tasks as assigned.
