Job summary

HRTX in Makati is seeking an Accounting Specialist at supervisory level to oversee key accounting functions including financial reporting, product costing, tax compliance, and reconciliations.

The role ensures accuracy of financial records, supports business decisions with financial analysis, and maintains compliance with accounting standards. CPA required with 3+ years of experience including people management; FMCG/retail background preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA certification and at least 3 years of accounting experience, including 1 year in people management.
• Experience in financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, cost accounting, and gross profit analysis.
• Experience preparing tax returns and audit schedules; bank and BIR reconciliations.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail preferred; strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficient with accounting ERP systems and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly sales reports, costing analyses, gross profit reports, and trial balances.
• Conduct financial analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
• Prepare and file tax returns and audit schedules in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and BIR-related reconciliations.
• Maintain pricing systems, discount structures, and related accounting records.
• Review books of accounts for discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with treasury, external auditors, and regulators as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Supervise accounting processes and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Perform ad hoc accounting, reporting, and compliance tasks.

Role Overview

The Accounting Specialist is a supervisory level position, who will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, including financial reporting, product costing, tax compliance, and account reconciliations. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports business decision-making through financial analysis, and maintains compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including 1 year of people management experience.
• Strong background and hands‑on experience in financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, cost accounting, gross profit analysis, and trial balance preparation.
• Experienced in preparing tax returns and audit schedules; and perform bank, account, and BIR reconciliation duties.
• Relevant work experience within the FMCG, manufacturing, or retail industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and maintaining accounting records, as well as utilizing accounting & ERP systems.
