Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedGeneral Accountant / Bookkeeperto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background with a proven track record of managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s financial health. This role is based in Makati City andrequires on-site presence.

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and accounts.

2. Oversee and manage general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

4. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, etc.).

5. Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

6. Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.

7. Monitor and manage the company’s budgets and financial forecasts.

8. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on financial matters.

9. Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation.

10. Stay updated with accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional setting.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Bookkeeping
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of Philippine financial regulations and taxation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
