Job summary

Bain & Company’s AIS team seeks an AI Engineering Intern to design GenAI applications and agentic solutions for clients. You’ll work with engineers, data scientists, and consultants to move from prototype to production in a learning‑first environment.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to the full AI development lifecycle, with close mentorship, frequent feedback, and increasing responsibility over time, including collaboration with major AI ecosystem partners.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of AI/ML engineering experience or equivalent through internships/research.
• Pursuing or recently completed degree in CS/ML/AI/Data Science or related field.
• Strong academic performance or demonstrated excellence through projects or internships.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop GenAI applications and agentic solutions.
• Contribute to AI pipelines, embeddings, RAG, and model experimentation.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to APIs and services across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to build reliable AI systems.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
