Tax Compliance Officer (Taguig / Mandaluyong) - Hybrid

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: This role ensures that all client tax obligations and business registration updates are met accurately and on time. It leads client onboarding for tax compliance services, prepares and files tax returns, and coordinates with government agencies to maintain full compliance. It also supports risk management, documentation, and process improvements, acting as a reliable partner to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead onboarding for tax compliance and advisory clients, ensuring accurate setup of client profiles and requirements.
  • Prepare and file all required tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual) accurately and on time.
  • Lead business registration, permits renewals, and updates with government agencies (e.g., BIR, SEC, LGU).
  • Ensure tax processes comply with BIR and other regulatory requirements; proactively flag potential issues or risks.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding schedules, requirements, and filing status in coordination with the Relationship Manager.
  • Maintain organized client records, working papers, and tax schedules; submit reports to the Tax Manager as required.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in tax workflows and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to Tax Specialists and collaborate with other teams to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as needed by the company.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting and/or tax compliance and filing.
  • Knowledge of Philippine tax laws and compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with government e-filing systems (eBIRForms, eFPS, SEC systems, LGU portals).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software.
  • CPA preferred or in progress.
  • Willing to report to Makati or nearby locations as required; hybrid schedule.
