EY GDS Data Engineering Team is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to help build scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines in the cloud. You’ll work with modern platforms and collaborate with global teams to deliver impact across the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines using cloud data services.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Scala, JavaScript and SQL.
• Familiar with CI/CD development using DevOps/Git.
• Ability to learn new technologies to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication for requirements gathering.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join the EY GDS Data Engineering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth.

• At least 1 year of experience in developing cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines using at least 2 of the following: Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience in using any or combination of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableu, Looker, Qlick.
• Hands-on experience in using any or combination of Python, Pyspark, Scala, Java script and SQL.
• Familiar with CI/CD development using devops/Git.
• Confident to learn new technologies to solve complex technical problems/deliverables in a fast face environment.
• Confident on his skills to handle support roles where debugging and strong analytical skills are a must.
• Good communication and presentation skills in relation to gathering business requirements and solution presentations if needed.
