Responsibilities

• Alter garments (hemming, seams, sleeves, shoulders, waist) and repair/replace zippers and buttons.
• Take precise measurements and assess fit for comfort and appearance.
• Use sewing machines, sergers, and hand stitching to alter garments while preserving design integrity.
• Handle fabrics considering stretch, drape, and texture for optimal alterations.
• Assist clients with customization via embellishments, trims, or personal touches.
• Consult with clients, recommend alterations, and set timelines and costs.
• Inspect finished alterations for accuracy and quality; adjust as needed.
• Maintain inventory of sewing supplies and replenish stock as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service addressing inquiries and requests.
