Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Fullstack .NET Developer to design and deliver scalable backend services on Azure with C# / .NET and to build modern Angular front-end applications. You will work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams to implement REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and secure DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and data modeling in Cosmos DB/Azure SQL, ensuring performance and security across the stack.

Ascendion is looking for a Fullstack .NET Developer with strong experience in C#/.NET, Angular, TypeScript, and Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable backend services and modern front-end applications while working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

This role is ideal for a developer with hands-on experience building cloud-native applications, REST APIs, Azure services, databases, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Skills Qualifications:

• With 5 years and above strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET development, Angular and TypeScript for front-end development.

• Strong experience designing and developing applications on Microsoft Azure - Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Azure Storage.

• Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Azure AI Search is highly desirable. Knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL, including data modeling and query optimization.

• Good understanding of application security, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault.

• Experience building automated tests at unit, integration, and/or contract levels.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Bicep and/or ARM templates for Infrastructure as Code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in an Agile software delivery environment.

Job Description:

Solution Delivery

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services on Azure using C# / .NET

• Build and maintain the Angular front-end components that consume those services

• Review system specifications and user stories and translate them into working solutions

• Design and deliver REST APIs, including versioning and backwards compatibility

• Implement the Azure components the solution requires — Functions and Durable Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Storage

• Model and manage data across Cosmos DB and Azure SQL, including partitioning, indexing, and query performance

• Implement Azure AI Search indexes, indexers, and data sources to support the solution's search requirements

• Collaborate with the delivery team to define, design, and ship new features

Code Quality and Engineering Standards

• Identify bottlenecks and defects and design solutions to resolve them

• Apply secure coding practices across the stack — OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, managed identities, RBAC, and Key Vault

• Write and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and contract level

• Maintain code quality, organisation, and automation, and participate actively in code reviews

• Assure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications delivered

DevOps and Release

• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

• Provision and maintain infrastructure as code using Bicep and ARM

• Support deployments across environments and troubleshoot production issues

• Work within the client's Agile delivery team — ceremonies, estimation, and sprint commitments

• Provide guidance to teammates on coding standards, best practices, and troubleshooting
