Clara is a leading fintech in Latin America seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to own both backend and frontend work in the Collections squad. You’ll design APIs, data models, and interfaces for customers and internal teams.

You’ll operate with high ownership, identifying gaps and delivering end-to-end solutions. The role requires delivering robust financial features, collaborating with the Pod Lead and PM, and embracing AI-assisted development as a standard practice.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript in production apps.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• AI-augmented development is part of the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in Java + Spring Boot for payments, collections, and reconciliation.
• Build and maintain frontend interfaces in React + TypeScript across a feature boundary.
• Model data and manage PostgreSQL/Redis for transactional and caching needs.
• Work with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar) in a distributed microservices environment.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Leverage AI tooling as part of development workflow and collaboration.
