Job summary

4Degrees is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to join our team and own meaningful projects within a growing SaaS platform. You will work across backend APIs and data models as well as frontend UI, bringing AI-powered workflows to life for investors and deal teams.

You will pair with the founders and product team to push the product forward, tackle production challenges, and ship features that impact customers quickly. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership.

Qualifications

• Strong backend with Python in production SaaS environments.
• Frontend development using JavaScript is expected.
• Solid SQL/database knowledge and data modeling skills.
• Ability to debug production issues in a mature codebase.
• High ownership and the ability to execute independently.
• Experience using AI development tools in daily workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship across the product stack, from APIs and data models to UI features.
• Own meaningful projects with close collaboration to founders and product teams.

About The Role

We’re looking for a senior full-stack engineer who can join quickly, ramp into an existing product and codebase, and own meaningful projects. This is a good fit for someone who likes the combination of an established product with real customers and the ownership of an early stage startup. There’s plenty already built, but there’s also a lot left to invent.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work across the 4Degrees product on problems like:

• Building AI-powered workflows that help investors and deal teams get useful answers from their relationship and CRM data - and take action with less manual work
• Advancing our relationship intelligence platform - helping users understand who knows whom, which relationships are strongest, where they have a path into a company, and how their network can help them accomplish their goals
• Reimagining traditional CRM workflows so more of the work of keeping a CRM updated can happen automatically or through natural language interfaces
• Building product experiences end to end, from backend APIs and data models through the UI
• Making a growing SaaS product faster and more reliable, including solving real performance, data, and production challenges
• Using AI development tools aggressively to help a small engineering team ship substantially more than a traditional one Because our engineering team is small, you won’t be one engineer among hundreds working on a narrow piece of the product. You’ll have meaningful ownership, work closely with the founders and product team, and see things you build reach customers quickly.

What You’ll Bring

• trong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production SaaS products
• Significant experience with Python on the backend
• Comfortable working with Javascript on the frontend
• Strong SQL/database skills
• Able to debug production issues and work effectively in a mature codebase
• Strong implementation and design judgment - you can understand a problem, identify tradeoffs, make good decisions, and know when to elevate broader architectural questions
• High ownership and able to execute independently
• Very comfortable using modern AI development tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar as part of your workflow Experience with GCP / Cloud Run, cloud infrastructure, background jobs, production reliability, or scaling SaaS applications is a plus. *This job posting exists to fill a vacancy.
