We are looking for a Freight Broker / Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. The role involves acting as a liaison between shippers and carriers to secure transportation of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Make a minimum of 100 calls and 50 postings per day to drive business development.
  • Source and onboard new shipper accounts through cold calling, referrals, and marketing outreach.
  • Develop relationships with trucking companies and owner-operators to ensure reliable carrier partnerships.
  • Negotiate rates and lanes with customers to maintain profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Match available freight with appropriate carriers based on service requirements, equipment, and cost.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both shippers and carriers to ensure long-term collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in TMS software and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop).
  • Solid understanding of trucking market dynamics, including capacity trends and rate fluctuations.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work with logistics platforms.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
