Job summary

RE/MAX 8 is seeking a Freelance Video Editor to transform raw footage into engaging, polished video content for its agents, properties, and projects.

The role is freelance with a minimum three-month contract, paid on a retainer basis. You will edit weekly short-form videos and monthly long-form content, ensuring brand consistency and high production quality for social platforms.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional video editing experience (social media, real estate, or related content).
• Strong portfolio with short-form and long-form videos.
• Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar.

Responsibilities

• Edit three (3) short-form talking heads, videos, reels, and social media content for RE/MAX 8 and its agents every week.
• Edit two (2) long-form video content as required monthly.
• Transform raw footage into polished and engaging videos suitable for social media and digital platforms.
• Add appropriate cuts, transitions, captions, text, graphics, music, sound effects, and other editing elements.
• Create videos in appropriate formats and dimensions for different social media platforms.
• Maintain consistent quality, visual presentation, and brand standards across all content.
• Edit agent videos, educational content, promotional videos, and other real estate-related materials.
• Present projects in a visually appealing and professional manner.
• Follow approved messaging, branding, and content direction.
• Work with relevant internal teams to understand the purpose, audience, and requirements of each video.

• Edit three (3) short-form talking heads, videos, reels, and social media content for RE/MAX 8 and its agents every week
• Edit two (2) long-form video content as required monthly
• Transform raw footage into polished and engaging videos suitable for social media and digital platforms
• Add appropriate cuts, transitions, captions, text, graphics, music, sound effects, and other editing elements
• Create videos in appropriate formats and dimensions for different social media platforms
• Maintain consistent quality, visual presentation, and brand standards across all content
• Edit agent videos, educational content, promotional videos, and other real estate-related materials
• Present projects in a visually appealing and professional manner
• Follow approved messaging, branding, and content direction
• Work with relevant internal teams to understand the purpose, audience, and requirements of each video

About you

• 1–2 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in social media, digital marketing, real estate, lifestyle, or related content
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with short-form videos/reels and long-form video editing
• Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar video editing software
• Strong understanding of social media video formats, pacing, hooks, captions, transitions, and visual storytelling
• Able to transform raw footage into polished and engaging content with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with captions, text, branding, and property information
• Able to manage multiple video projects and meet agreed deadlines
• Comfortable working in a freelance, output-based retainer arrangement, minimum of three (3) months contract and renewable
• Reliable, responsive, and able to communicate effectively both online and onsite
