GCash in Metro Manila is seeking a seasoned fraud analytics professional to help detect and deter fraudulent activity across our payments platform. You will write and execute SQL queries, collaborate with Product, Engineering and QA, and design data-driven rules for Fraud Management Systems. A strong background in IT/CS and FinTech is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with 2+ years in Fraud Management or Fraud Operations.
• Experience in FinTech, Banking, or Payments is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and write SQL scripts/codes for data mining and analysis.
• Familiarity with Fraud Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Track emerging fraud trends and collaborate with stakeholders to develop data-driven insights regarding potential gaps or exposures.
• Mitigate fraud by creating and publishing real-time rules to detect, deter, and decline suspicious transactions.
• Participate in design sessions for new projects to ensure critical data points are integrated into Fraud Management Systems for future rule-making.
• Write and execute SQL scripts to extract data from repositories, providing ad-hoc analytics to support detection and deterrence activities.
• Strategize and assess technical requirements for Fraud Management System rules; partner with Product, Engineering, and QA to drive fraud-related demands.
