Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to design, govern, and maintain reusable architecture frameworks and BFF/Front-end patterns to accelerate secure banking solutions.

You will collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to enforce standards, deliver reusable tooling, and guide modernization across delivery projects, including RCA initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, computer engineering or related technology disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years application development experience.
• Minimum 5 years solution design experience.
• Minimum 3 years architecture, framework or engineering platform experience.
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and govern reusable architecture frameworks, reference implementations, technical standards, and design guidelines across front-end, BFF, API consumption, Micro Frontend, and MicroApps architecture.
• Maintain architecture guardrails that ensure digital channel solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture direction.
• Deliver practical architecture and standards enforcement tools, including scaffolds, internal SDKs, automated checks, quality gates, conformance tools, and reusable implementation mechanisms.
• Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise, security, coding, DevSecOps, regulatory, and platform engineering standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend adoption opportunities, and maintain target-state framework roadmaps to support modernization.
• Support solution architects by translating approved architecture requirements into implementation-ready designs and validating detailed technical designs.
• Provide reusable frameworks, templates, components, libraries, starter kits, code generators, reference implementations, and playbooks to accelerate onboarding and reduce duplication.
• Provide technical consultation to developers, technical leads, build teams, product teams, QA teams, and other delivery stakeholders on framework and solution design matters.
• Support resolution of architecture, design, and production issues related to framework design, integration patterns, or platform standards.
• Govern framework releases, upgrades, adoption roadmaps, utilization metrics, and technical debt across RCA projects.

Job Summary

Design, govern, and maintain reusable application frameworks, frontend architecture standards, backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns, and solution design assets that enable the efficient delivery of secure, scalable, maintainable, and consistent banking solutions. The role acts as the architecture-to-engineering bridge, ensuring build teams and solution architects can leverage standardized patterns, frameworks, components, and technical blueprints to accelerate implementation while reducing technical debt and architectural inconsistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Standards and Framework Ownership

• Define, maintain, and govern reusable architecture frameworks, reference implementations, technical standards, and design guidelines across front-end, BFF, API consumption, Micro Frontend, and MicroApps architecture.
• Maintain architecture guardrails that ensure digital channel solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture direction.
• Deliver practical architecture and standards enforcement tools, including scaffolds, internal SDKs, automated checks, quality gates, conformance tools, and reusable implementation mechanisms that help delivery teams apply, validate, and govern approved architecture and engineering standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Governance, Compliance, and Modernization

• Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise, security, coding, DevSecOps, regulatory, and platform engineering standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend adoption opportunities, and maintain target-state framework roadmaps to support modernization.

Solution Design and Delivery Enablement

• Support solution architects by translating approved architecture requirements into implementation-ready designs and validating detailed technical designs from engineering and vendor teams.
• Provide reusable frameworks, templates, components, libraries, starter kits, code generators, reference implementations, and playbooks that accelerate project onboarding and reduce duplication across delivery teams.

Engineering Advisory and Issue Resolution

• Provide technical consultation to developers, technical leads, build teams, product teams, QA teams, and other delivery stakeholders on framework and solution design matters.
• Support resolution of architecture, design, and production issues where framework design, integration patterns, or platform standards are involved.

Accountability to Unit:

• Govern framework releases, upgrades, adoption roadmaps, utilization metrics, and technical debt across RCA projects.
• Conduct technical governance, design reviews, architecture deviation assessments, and corrective action recommendations.
• Maintain the technical repository, standards documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials to strengthen architecture and framework capability across teams.

Accountability to Role:

• Front-end Architecture: define front-end standards, Micro Frontend patterns, component reuse strategy, and frontend security patterns in collaboration with IT Security.
• Backend-for-Frontend: design and maintain BFF governance, service patterns, channel-specific aggregation, orchestration, and API consumption standards.
• MicroApps: define MicroApps architecture, deployment standards, framework integration approaches, and shared services integration patterns.
• Developer Experience: improve developer productivity by standardizing reusable tools, templates, CI/CD integration patterns, and engineering enablement assets

Qualifications:
