Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or licence as required.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in warehousing.
• Strong HSE knowledge in warehousing operations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Physical fitness for repetitive lifting.
• Reliable attendance; flexible hours if required.
• Basic math for inventory counting.
• Familiarity with WMS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, lift, and stack materials in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods to prevent damage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by correctly identifying, labelling and documenting materials being moved.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment before and after use, reporting any maintenance issues or defects to supervisors immediately.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily targets and schedules.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and legal requirements relating to warehousing operations.
