Job summary

Mets Cold Storage Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to ensure safe and efficient operations in warehouse and cold storage areas. The role involves loading, unloading, transferring, stacking, and retrieving products while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety procedures.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of forklift experience, preferably in warehouse or cold storage environments. TESDA Forklift Operation NC II certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift equipment for loading, unloading, transferring, stacking, and retrieving products and materials.
• Ensure proper product handling to prevent damage, contamination, spillage, or loss.
• Store and retrieve products from designated locations according to warehouse procedures.
• Assist in loading and unloading inbound and outbound products with proper handling and positioning.
• Verify product locations and quantities, pallet conditions, and movement as per warehouse documents.
• Conduct pre-operational forklift checks and report any defects or maintenance needs.
• Follow forklift operating procedures, warehouse safety rules, and PPE requirements.
• Perform duties inside refrigerated and frozen storage areas while observing cold-room procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in forklift operating areas, aisles, and loading bays.
• Complete required checklists and equipment logs; report incidents or concerns to supervisor.

The position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift equipment in the warehouse and cold storage areas, including loading, unloading, transferring, stacking, and retrieving products and materials while ensuring proper product handling, inventory accuracy, and compliance with established safety and operational procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation through safely operating forklift equipment for loading, unloading, transferring, stacking, and retrieving products and materials.
• Product Handling through ensuring proper handling and movement of products to prevent damage, contamination, spillage, or loss.
• Storage and Retrieval through accurately placing and retrieving products from designated storage locations based on warehouse instructions and established storage procedures.
• Loading and Unloading through assisting in the loading and unloading of inbound and outbound products, ensuring proper handling and positioning of goods.
• Inventory Support through verifying product locations, quantities, pallet conditions, and movement based on warehouse documents and instructions.
• Equipment Inspection through conducting pre-operational checks and reporting forklift defects, abnormalities, or maintenance requirements before and during operation.
• Safety Compliance through strictly following forklift operating procedures, warehouse safety rules, traffic routes, PPE requirements, and other applicable safety standards.
• Cold Storage Operations through safely performing assigned duties inside refrigerated and frozen storage areas while observing applicable cold-room procedures and work limitations.
• Housekeeping through maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of forklift operating areas, aisles, loading bays, and assigned work areas.
• Documentation and Reporting through completing required checklists, equipment logs, product movement records, and reporting any incidents, damages, or operational concerns to the immediate supervisor.
