WHY WE NEED YOU:

The Forklift Operator is essential for the efficient movement and handling of goods within the facility's refrigerated environment. Their role directly impacts the productivity, safety, and quality of operations, ensuring that perishable goods are handled and stored properly to maintain product integrity. By operating forklifts safely and effectively, they contribute to the smooth operation of the facility, minimize product damage, and support timely order fulfillment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Material Handling: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, stack, and store palletized goods, containers, and materials within the cold storage facility.
2. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks using forklifts, following proper procedures and safety protocols to prevent damage to goods and equipment.
3. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, and verifying incoming shipments, and locating and staging materials for storage or distribution.
4. Order Picking: Retrieve and assemble orders for shipment, picking items from storage locations using forklifts or other equipment, and preparing them for loading onto delivery vehicles.
5. Temperature Control: Adhere to temperature control requirements and safety guidelines while operating forklifts in refrigerated environments, ensuring product quality and compliance with cold storage standards.
6. Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines for forklift operation, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting pre-operation inspections, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment, such as inspecting tires, brakes, and hydraulic systems, and reporting any issues to maintenance staff for repairs.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible for reference.
