A leading mining company in the Philippines is seeking to hire an Environmental Supervisor to oversee the rehabilitation and conservation initiatives in line with the approved Environmental Management Plan. The candidate should hold a degree in Forestry and possess at least one year of relevant experience in the mining industry, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine and implement appropriate plan, specification and scope to meet target indicated in the approved - - AEPEP, Mine Modernization (MEMO) Program and agreed Project Schedule required by Environmental Manager.
- Supervise the Rehabilitation, Biodiversity Conservation, and Forest Protection including rehabilitation of mined-out area, temporary rehab areas, buffer zones, non-minenable areas and areas outside MPSA.
- In-charge in the formulation, planning, and implementation of Future Forest Land Use Plan
- Supervise tree cutting activity and flora and fauna rapid assessment
- Submit compliance reports and other government requirements
- Shall be responsible in Updating and reporting on weekly basis the Environment Management Support for data consolidation
- Submission of report including project schedule and cost control on a weekly basis to Environment Department Head
- Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Forestry
- With minimum of l year experience in mining or related industries.
- Excellent in Written and Oral communications Skills.
- Adept in resolving issues/concerns/grievances being raised by stakeholders who are directly affected by the operation
- Must be honest and dependable.
- With good analytical skills.
- Must be systematic and a team player.
- With high professional integrity.
- Able to meet deadline consistently.
- No adverse record, whether proven or not, involving corruption, bribe.
