Job summary

Manufacturing in America is seeking an R&D Product Development Assistant to support product development through testing, documentation, research, and trials. You will help launch new SKUs, enhance existing products, and evaluate raw and packaging materials.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and 2–3 years in food manufacturing with thermal processing/retort experience. Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of food safety

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in food manufacturing with thermal processing, retort, and meat processing.
• Detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory and food safety standards is a plus.
• Passionate about food and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in new product and SKU development, material and process improvements.
• Conduct research on product classifications, applications, and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate raw and packaging materials based on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and prepare technical documentation.
• Support validation of CCPs and OPRPs in HACCP & FSSC 22000.
• Prepare FDA registration documents and samples.
