Job Description
- Manage and monitor inventory accounting, including reconciliations, movements, and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Support costing activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Assist in ensuring compliance with PEZA rules and regulations, including required documentation and reporting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, supply chain) to ensure accuracy of inventory data
- Perform periodic inventory counts and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and fixed assets
- Utilize ERP systems (specifically AP Plus) for accounting functions and reporting
- Assist in process improvements related to cost accounting and inventory management
The Successful Applicant
A successful Cost & Fixed Asset Accountant should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in:
- Inventory accounting
- Fixed asset accounting
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Inventory management
- Fixed asset accounting
- Knowledge of or experience working with PEZA compliance requirements
