Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fabrication & Coordination Engineer to prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication plans. You will coordinate with HVAC, structural, and architectural teams to deliver code-compliant designs and will leverage 3D scans to optimize layouts and resolve conflicts before installation.

The role requires a Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering background with 2–3 years in sprinkler design or coordination, and proficiency in CAD and 3D scanning tools to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, fabrication planning, or coordination engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D scanning tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop shop drawings and fabrication plans for fire sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate with HVAC, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Review project specifications, codes, and standards to guarantee compliance.
• Utilize 3D scanning technology to validate site conditions and enhance design accuracy.
• Identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies in multidisciplinary drawings.
• Provide technical support to fabrication and installation teams.
• Maintain documentation and records of design revisions, approvals, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure adherence to NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
