Job summary

Connext is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead end-to-end accounting and financial operations for a growing fintech/payments organization. You will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, treasury, reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting while partnering with executives on strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ten years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• At least three years at Controller level.
• Experience in Fintech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Own month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and GL activities.
• Oversee U.S. GAAP reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and payment‑processor reconciliations.
• Manage treasury activities: cash management, wires, FX, and escrow accounting.
• Lead multi-entity accounting and consolidation across international ops.
• Coordinate audits and respond with schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and profitability analysis.
• Prepare executive and board financial reports with actionable insights.
• Develop and mentor offshore accounting teams and staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
• Partner with leadership on M&A, due diligence, ERP implementations, and strategy.
