Job summary

Northern Trust in Manila offers a hybrid role leading the Financial Reporting team, preparing statements and notes for mutual funds, hedge funds, and related clients. You will manage daily operations, coordinate with home-country counterparts, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in line with regulatory requirements.

The position requires a CPA or equivalent, 7+ years in financial reporting, and strong English communication. Expect peak periods and stakeholder collaboration in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in financial statement preparation or financial reporting in an audit firm or financial institution.
• At least 2 years of people management experience for Team Leaders.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP or IFRS.
• Background in regulatory / statutory reporting preferred.
• Experience with transitions/consolidation of multiple systems and reconciliations.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with financial reporting platforms.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Has day-to-day management responsibilities for a small team, including assigning tasks and monitoring work.
• Conducts performance management and career development processes.
• Provides input to budget management and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Interacts with clients or home-country counterparts as needed by the role.
• Mentors junior staff and drives process improvements across the team.
