- The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, assisting with budgeting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting audits and financial planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and review of budgets.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and timely response.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
- Process payroll and manage employee reimbursements as applicable.
- Coordinate with departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Monitor cash flow and banking operations.
- Recommend cost reduction strategies and support decision-making with financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
