Job summary

PwC Philippines is seeking an Associate to help clients identify key business and financial risks related to planned acquisitions, divestments, capital raises, and to make recommendations to address such risks. You will understand industry trends, review key contract terms, perform historical trending analysis, and extract insights from current trends.

Responsibilities include preparing reports and materials, due diligence lists, and project briefs; researching target clients and investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from a reputable school.
• CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Keen attention to detail.

Job description

As an Associate, you’ll help clients identify key business and financial risks in relation to the planned acquisition, divestment, capital raising and make recommendations to address such risks. Responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to:

• Understand industry trends and regulatory environment in which the target company operates
• Review key contract terms with customers, debtors, suppliers, shareholders and related parties
• Perform historical trending analysis to understand the underlying business drivers of the target company
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the business area.
• Prepare report on key business and financial observations/findings and corresponding recommendations to mitigate or eliminate risks
• Prepare related documents such as presentation materials, due diligence lists, project briefs
• Conduct research on target clients, investment opportunities, and key industries

Requirements:

• B.S. Accountancy graduate from a reputable school, preferably a CPA
• Previous audit or M&A-related experience is needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
• Self-starter, willing to learn and can easily adapt in while working in a fast-paced environment
