Job summary

DES Financing Corporation is seeking an entry-level Financial Planning and Analysis professional to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision making. You will analyze actual results against plans, develop financial models, and contribute to company improvement and strategic initiatives.

Under guidance, you will monitor trends, assist with project management and employee engagement planning, and help maintain controls to protect profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Compare and analyze actual results with plans and forecasts to identify financial status.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures for cost analysis; provide trends and forecasts; explain processes and techniques; recommend actions.
• Recommend actions by analyzing data and performing comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Create a financial model for valuation purposes.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of market trends, competitors, and industry benchmarks.
• Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommending actions to management.
• Conducting research and analysis to support the management team.
• Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
• Plan and organize employee engagement activities, team-building events, and recognition programs.
• Plan, organize, and maintain control of all sales activities to ensure objectives within budget and determine sales goals.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for long-term growth and revenue from customers, markets, and relationships.
• Understand how the company operates and familiarize with personnel duties.
• Use company reports to analyze sales, gross profit, and inventory activity.
• Keep track of business revenue and research ways to increase profitability and lower risk.
• Maintain consistency and adhere to organizational standards.
• Support managers with various tasks (e.g., policy making, goal setting).
