Job summary

A fast-growing multi-brand F&B group in Metro Manila is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis / Business Intelligence Analyst. This role involves analyzing sales performance, monitoring costs, and providing actionable insights to management. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment. Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years experience in FP&A, Business Intelligence, Management Accounting, Commercial or Revenue Analysis.
• Experience in restaurant, retail, or FMCG is highly preferred.
• CPA is an advantage but not required.

Job description

We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Business Intelligence Analyst to support management decisions through sales, cost, and profitability analysis across our multi-branch restaurant operations.

This role focuses on analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating numbers into business insights—not bookkeeping or compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance by branch and time period
• Track sales trends, average check, covers, and same-store sales growth
• Evaluate the financial impact of promotions and pricing changes

Menu & Profitability Analysis

• Analyze menu item profitability and contribution margins
• Identify high-margin, low-margin, and loss-leading items
• Support pricing, menu optimization, and cost control initiatives

Cost & Margin Monitoring

• Monitor food cost % and labor cost % versus targets
• Analyze cost variances related to supplier pricing, usage, and waste
• Work with Operations and Supply Chain to explain cost deviations

Forecasting & Management Reporting

• Prepare sales and cost forecasts and budget vs actual reports
• Build dashboards and automated reports from POS and internal systems
• Present clear, actionable insights to management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance/Management Accounting/Economics/Business Analytics/Industrial Engineering.
• CPA is an advantage but not required.
• 2 to 4 years experience in FP&A, Business Intelligence, Management Accounting, Commercial or Revenue Analysis.
• Experience in restaurant, retail, or FMCG is highly preferred.
• Experience with multi-branch operations is an advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong understanding of cost of sales and margin analysis.
• Experience working with POS or ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, StoreHub) is a plus.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and summarize insights clearly.
