Job summary

Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone Corporation in Laguna seeks a Finance & Tax Specialist to support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, payroll entries, fixed asset management, and daily accounting tasks. The role focuses on accuracy, timely reporting, and working under supervision within a collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in Finance and Tax compliance, strong Excel skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy graduate.
• 2-3 years experience in Finance & Tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision and maintain ethics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual BIR returns (e.g., 1601-C,1601-E, VAT, 1702Q, 1702) including alpha list and relief.
• Main PIC to ensure correctness of VAT returns prepared by accounting staff.
• Control fixed assets and depreciation.
• Payroll entry and other accounting entries.
• Handle bank charges, interest income and related GL entries.
• Process payments – Local & Oversea.
• Daily filing of foreign exchange rates and safekeeping of references.
• Maintain petty cash including fund custodian duties.
• Respond to international taxation inquiries.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and summaries of all accounts.

Job Description

• Ensure that the tasks assigned are complete per instruction and on time
• Responsible for Preparation for some returns and submission of all BIR returns Monthly, Quarterly & Annually (e.g. 1601-C,1601-E, VAT, 1702Q, 1702, etc.) including alpha list and relief.
• Main PIC to ensure correctness of the VAT returns prepared by Accounting Staff
• Responsible for controlling Fixed Assets and Depreciation
• Responsible for payroll entry and other accounting entries
• Responsible for bank charges, interest income and related GL entries
• Responsible for payment entries – Local & Oversea
• Daily Filing of Foreign exchange rate & safekeeping of reference
• Responsible for petty cash including fund custodian.
• Responsible for responding to international to taxation.
• Responsible for online transfer of associates cash advance, medical reimbursement,
• Official travel allowance to associates payroll account.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation as assigned.
• Preparation of summary of all account reconciles.
• Updating Book of Accounts - Purchase Book
• Monitor completeness of original shipping documents before payment
• Responsible for timely payment of all Local & overseas transactions
• Attend to suppliers’ inquiries regarding payment schedules and details including confirmations.
• Assist and guide the PIC for booking/registration if necessary.
